I’ve always dreamed of creating something that feels like a perfect little escape—where life slows down, the ice cream is homemade, and every detail is curated to feel special. That’s the heart of B Lakeside, and it’s officially happening! We’re bringing you along for every step—every decision, every challenge, and, of course, every ice cream taste test.
A New Shop in Seneca, SC – More Than Just Ice Cream
Announcing B Lakeside was one of the most nerve-wracking moments of this entire journey (so far). We had been quietly dreaming, planning, and working behind the scenes, but when it came time to share our vision with the world—well, that was a different kind of scary.
We weren’t just opening an ice cream shop in Seneca, SC. We were building something completely from scratch—a curated retail and ice cream experience, a place where homemade treats meet boutique finds, all wrapped in a preppy, lakeside charm. But would people be excited? Would they see the vision the way we did? Or would they just scroll past, uninterested?
With equal parts excitement and nerves, we hit post on Facebook. And then, the waiting.
But instead of silence, we were met with something incredible—enthusiasm, encouragement, and ideas from all of you. You told us what ice cream flavors you couldn’t wait to try, the memories ice cream brought back for you, and how much you were looking forward to a space like this in town. Some of you even shared thoughts on what boutique items you’d love to see on our shelves. That was the moment we knew—this wasn’t just a business. This was something that truly belonged to this community.
Right now, we’re still in the thick of it. We don’t officially own the building until Monday, and there’s a long road of renovations, decisions, and (hopefully) not too many surprises ahead. But knowing that so many of you are just as excited as we are? That makes every challenge ahead feel absolutely worth it.

The Journey to Opening Our Ice Cream & Retail Shop in Downtown Seneca, SC
Like any big dream, there are always a few twists along the way—especially when it comes to real estate. Our property closing was supposed to happen last Friday, but in true real estate fashion, we’re still waiting on a few last details. Fingers crossed, we’ll be official owners soon
We’ve hired an incredible design firm to help bring our vision to life. The front half of the space will be our retail and ice cream shop, while the back will house Empowered 2 Profit, our accounting firm. I’ll be honest—I have no clue how to design a retail space or an ice cream shop… but that’s not stopping us!
Thankfully, I have an amazing mentor from an established ice cream shop guiding me, and we’ve already submitted our business applications to the city. Construction timelines, contractors, and costs are still being worked out, but we’ll keep you updated every step of the way.
